Project Update - Sullivan Construction Awarded Fit-Up Project by Gather Community Food Center.
Portsmouth, NH – Sullivan Construction, LLC has begun work for Gather Community Food Center in Portsmouth, NH. The project involves the demolition and fit-up of an 18,000-square-foot space to create a new, modernized food pantry. In collaboration with JSA Design, Sullivan Construction is building out a new space that reduces bottlenecks and enhances operational efficiency.
The scope of work includes construction of a storefront and entrance for the community, a commercial kitchen, functional warehouse space, office and conference areas, and safety and technology improvements throughout. The design takes into account the dynamic needs and functionality that the facility requires to maximize efficiency and best serve their community.
In February, Sullivan Construction team members volunteered their time to assist the Gather team with daily operations, including sorting and stocking the pantry. They also received a guided tour of the organization’s current facilities and gained insight into its history and mission.
"Volunteering with Gather was a great experience—not only because we at Sullivan Construction strongly believe in giving back to the community, but also because it allowed us to gain firsthand insight into their challenges and key renovation needs. We are eager to deliver a space where they can truly thrive," said Tom Sullivan Jr., President of Sullivan Construction.
